To ensure the best possible results, however, making sure that you hire the right company is imperative. In order to do that, you should interview a few different candidates.
The following are some suggested questions to ask when you’re interviewing prospective Bellerose, NY custom aquarium services.
Are you experienced with aquariums?
The answer to this question might seem obvious; however, it’s surprising how many home designers advertise that they are aquarium designers, but in reality, they have little – if any – experience. For the best results, you want to hire a professional that specializes in aquarium design. A reputable Bellerose, NY custom aquarium contractor will have years of experience designing, building, installing, and maintaining aquatic displays. They will have the knowledge, skill, and experience that’s required to handle the intricate complexities that not only go into designing, but constructing, installing, and maintaining a custom aquarium.
When you’re researching companies that specialize in the design, installation, and maintenance of custom aquariums in Bellerose, NY, make sure that Fluid Dynamics International is on your list of candidates. Our team of experts would be honored to create a one-of-a-kind marine habitat for your home or business. Call 631-208-5302 to start discussing your plans today!
What kind of equipment do you use?
It’s also important to find out what type of equipment each company uses. When it comes to storing a tank that holds thousands of gallons of water and delicate aquatic life in your Nassau County home or office, you definitely don’t want to make the mistake of hiring someone who uses cheap, poorly-constructed materials; otherwise, you could end up in serious trouble. The tank could crack or the seams could split, which could result in a leak or a complete system failure that could flood your property. The filtration system could have chronic issues, such as poor water quality, severe algae growth, and worst of all, the health of the flora and fauna could suffer. For beautiful, worry-free, long-lasting results, you want to hire a reputable Bellerose, NY custom aquarium service that will use state-of-the-art equipment and durable materials in the construction and installation of your tank.
Do you have a portfolio of aquariums you have designed and installed?
It’s also a good idea to ask each candidate if they can provide a portfolio of projects they have completed. By seeing visual images of the aquatic displays they’ve created, you’ll be able to gauge the quality of their work and whether or not they have designed and installed systems that are similar to the display that you’re envisioning for your Nassau County home or business. To illustrate, if you’re interested in a commercial-sized tank or you’d like something that’s really unusual, but the contractor only has experience with small- and medium-sized or standard setups, then there’s a good chance they aren’t going to be able to create the idea you have in mind. When it comes to the design and installation of a marine habitat, do you really want to leave anything to chance? A credible Bellerose, NY will provide you with a collection of either printed or digital images and/or videos of their work.
Do you have references I can contact?
Finally, you should ask each of the candidates you speak with if they can provide you with a list of references. You can tell a lot about any professional – including custom aquarium contractors – from their past clients. Don’t be afraid to reach out to a few of those references to ask some pertinent questions; for example, inquire about the quality of the contractor’s workmanship, whether or not they were satisfied with the results, and if they would recommend using the service. If any of the contractors that you speak with don’t honor your request for references, or they do but you can’t seem to get in touch with any of them, consider those red flags and cross them off your list. A reputable Bellerose, NY custom aquarium designer will be more than happy to provide a list of references that will include customers whom you can easily get in touch with.
Bellerose is an incorporated village in the Town of Hempstead in Nassau County, on Long Island, in New York, United States. The population was 1,173 at the 2020 census.
The village was founded by Helen Marsh of Williamsburg, Brooklyn. In 1907, planning to build a model community, Marsh purchased 77 acres (310,000 m2) of Floral Park gladiola fields. The first Bellerose home was completed, under Marsh’s supervision, in 1910. Marsh persuaded the Long Island Rail Road to place a station in the new village, and she named the station Bellerose. Though it has been suggested that she named the station for the Rose farm, south of the railroad, and her daughter Belle, she said that she simply found the name “euphonious”. A vote of the homeowners made the name official in 1917.
Bellerose incorporated itself as a village in 1924 in order to gain home rule.
The Bellerose Village Hall, Fire House and Police Booth are on the National and State registries of Historic Places.Learn more about Bellerose.
The cost of a display aquarium varies depending on the material you choose, the size and shape of the tank, and more. A wide range of costs is about $750 to $7000. Costs increase with the size and height of the tank.
The best tanks are always large rectangular ones. Fish will live longer and healthier lives if they have plenty of water to swim in.
The cost of manufacturing and transporting acrylic is less than that of glass. However, a glass aquarium is still cheaper than an acrylic aquarium. The most popular aquariums are made of glass.
Most fish require room to move laterally (side-to-side), which is highly restricted by tall, narrow tanks. A tall aquarium leaves very little open space when plants and other decorations are added. Therefore, longer tanks are much better than taller tanks.
